After a disastrous start, defending champions Mumbai Indians would fight hard for their first win in the IPL7, but it won`t be easy against mighty Chennai Super Kings, who are on fire now.
MI had a bad start in IPL7 with successive loss in their first two games. MI needs improvement in batting and bowling departments but their batting is going to a very bad face with poor scores like 122 and 115 in their previous two games. Ambati Rayudu was good at start in both the matches but didn’t convert it into the big ones, while Mike Hussey, Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Correy Anderson have been disappointing. Fast bowling was good due to the consistency of Zaheer Khan and Lasith Malinga, but the spinners have faced troubles. Harbhajan has been economical, Ojha was expensive in both the matches but they have failed to pick up wickets.
CSK started IPL 7 with a loss from Kings XI Punjab, but they bounced back with back-to-back wins over DD and RR. Chennai won against DD with their biggest win in terms of runs (93). CSK is going to be the favorite against a struggling MI. Two-time Champions CSK depends heavily on their strong batting consists inform Dwayne Smith and evergreen Suresh Raina. Brendon McCullum, Faf du Plessis and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are always dangerous, and have support from Ravindra Jadeja in the lower order. CSK has the pace accurate trio of Ben Hilfenhaus, Ishwar Pandey and Mohit Sharma in the bowling lineup with back in form Jadeja.
